Member Services Director

Part-time position

King County Nurses Association is a professional organization of more than 5,000 Registered Nurses, promoting healthy communities since 1903 through education, advocacy, and outreach.


 Membership Services

A.  Provide quality service to members via phone, written communication, and at association functions.

B.  Manage publication of newsletters (print and electronic) including writing and editing.

C.  Maintain social media accounts including: Web site, Facebook, Instagram.

D.  Support scholarship fund raising activities (i.e. annual auction).

Event Planning

A.  Handle all aspects of event registration including database management, event confirmations, and day-of-event registration duties.

B.  Coordinate conference space and equipment needs with selected facilities.

Executive Director Support

A.  Provide administrative support to the Executive Director (E.D.).

B.  Keep the E.D. informed of problems, concerns, and unusual situations as they

impact agency activities and administrative responsibilities.

C. Make recommendations to the E.D. for operational changes as they relate to areas of assignment.

General Administration

A.  Responsible for office functions including:  receptionist duties, mail services, office supply inventory, database development and upkeep, filing systems, and general duties.

B.  Other duties as assigned.

*Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines


*Related degree with a minimum of three years experience in association management   

or a nonprofit organization.

*Able to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), InDesign, Constant Contact.

*Experience with website content management, Facebook and Instagram.

*Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks.


This is a part-time, 20 hours a week position. Usual office hours:  Monday through Thursday, five hours per day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Occasional weekend and evening hours depending on event assignments.

Compensation will range from $28-30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits package includes medical (50%), paid vacation, holiday and sick pay, and 403b retirement plan contribution.
