King County Nurses Association

District Meeting: Community Grants

King County Nurses Association (KCNA) is committed to improving the health of the communities in King County and encourages members to participate in community-based projects.  Projects must address a current health need, involve a KCNA member, collaborate with a nonprofit organization, and be conducted within a six-month timeframe.  We encourage participation of student nurses, registered nurses, and other health care professionals.

King County Nurses Association (KCNA) has been providing Community Grants for members since the year 2000 and grants range from $500-$1,250 each. Projects meet a current health need in King County, involve at least one KCNA member, and collaborate with a local nonprofit.

This event will include an overview of the grants, application tips, and conclude with a panel of KCNA members who have received grants. They will describe their projects and give suggestions to members who are considering applying for funds.
