MentorLink Chat: Stress Management During COVID-19
Thursday, October 22 2020, 6:30-7:30 pm, Zoom,

KCNA’s MentorLink is going virtual! Due to restrictions associated with COVID-19, we will not be matching mentor/mentee teams this year.  Instead, the MentorLink program has been modified to offer educational topics of interest to KCNA members who would like to be mentored, including new grads or those new to a position. The KCNA 2020 Scholarship Recipients are also invited to participate.

It’s our intention that the meeting be informal, encourage conversation, and be social. If you are interested in attending a facilitated discussion and meeting other nurses, please join in!

Facilitated By:

Brittany Stoeckel, ACNP-BC, RYT 200

Brittany works as a Surgical Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.  She will discuss her own experience in ICU nursing during COVID-19 and offer techniques for stress management. This will include info about yoga, philosophy, mindset challenges, and simple yoga practices to manage your own stress. Brittany is an experienced yoga teacher and runs a Facebook group called “Intro to Yoga for Nurses” with 1,300+ participants.

Who Should Attend:

KCNA Registered Nurses who are interested in a mentoring opportunity. This could be new grads or someone in a new position. We are unable to accommodate nonmembers or nursing students for this event.

No charge for KCNA members.

Registration Deadline:  October 19, 2020.

•Participants will receive a Zoom link invitation prior to the event.

•Upon evaluation submission, participants will receive a certificate of completion for 1.0 hour that meets the continuing competency requirement for license renewal in Washington State.
